FINAL FANTASY II App Reviews

Im playing on an iPhone 6 plus and as soon as I am about to battle, the game crashes. Ive tried restarting the game multiple times but it doesnt help. They finally fixed the music bug but this is even worse!

I love this game, but with the recent update, on 12/9/15, my game crashes when I get into a battle. :(

Otherwise a five out of five game, after the latest update I cant say that right now. The game says my fourth party member is toad and when I open my menu the fourth party member isnt showing. The app crashes when you go into battle randomly on top of the many crashes from cutscenes we used to get from the previous updates. Its ridiculous that they arent fixing this but just making it worse. I cant recommend this to anyone until they actually Fix it as it is practically unplayable. Please fix it

Ok I have solved the crash problem for my fourth character causing the game to crash as battle starts by simply saving the game and that fixes that and also saving on my completed file reminded the game that it was beaten and the music player and soul of rebirth were where they belong. But now I have no fourth character. My final party is just Firion Maria and Guy. Leon and any fourth character do not exist except for their dialogue in cutscenes. They dont appear but you do see what theyre saying but thats it. When I tried soul of rebirth it started out with Minwu as always but when he walked south to find Scott his Sprite changed to a shadowy version of the light emperors Sprite. Scott is the only one who you can have in your party in soul of rebirth and the other 3 just dont show up in the menu or battle. Just when they join thats the only time you can see them. Im almost positive this all occurred because all data prior to this update is completely obsolete. I would appreciate an update that would restore my fourth characters so that they actually exist and soul of rebirth can actually be played. I made Ricard so powerful before he died to the point where he can fight the light emperor head on singlehandedly and but now it means nothing if he doesnt exist. Please if theres anything else you can do then just restore them. I dont want to erase what I worked so hard for last week with all the crashing.

Same as with the other reviews. I see toad as the 4th character, and the game crashes when it goes into battle.

when it comes to loading save data, it crashes and turn itself off. luckily, the quick continue works but the 4th character will turn out to be "toad". please fix and give me a patch.

So you fix the sound and add the side bar problem from the first Final Fantasy? Is it that hard to configure games to be full screen? Please make full screen.

This is a very under appreciated Final Fantasy, and its a great port of the PSP anniversary edition. For a few years, some bugs bogged the game down, but Square Enix has finally fixed most of them. Now you can enjoy the lovely music and artwork, and grind to your hearts content.

As reported elsewhere, the recent update corrupts saves, adds intrusive UI elements, crashes when entering combat, turns your fourth party member into an invisible toad, and incorrectly unlocks the (also broken) Soul of Rebirth expansion. If you can see past these minor issues and youre a fan of the Final Fantasy series, this is the game for you.

Since the last update, the game crashes as soon as you go into battle. Does anyone know how to go about getting a refund? Does anyone want to join me in a class action lawsuit for damages for the hours we wasted building up our characters for nothing?

As previously reported, the game crashes whenever I enter a battle. Im not far enough in the game yet to see the other bug, but Im pretty sure it exists. Really Square? Make a game that works!!

Doesnt technically crash; it freezes with a black screen after battles randomly. Quite unplayable. Please fix soon, as this would likely be a five-star rating if it was working correctly.

Its a great game but I have confirmed all the bug reports reported by users and on TouchArcade. Do yourself a favor and spring for Origins for now if you have to play it.

I like squaresoft games, there are too many bugs and glitches in this one. Game crashes at fight scenes. If this were a free app then complaints would be few and far between, but this is a paid app.

After being highly annoyed that I had to restart, I learned the battle crash only happens on a quicksave. So if you load the save like normal, youll have no issues. (At least I havent yet, Im also pulling down the drop menu to be safe) I think there is something wrong with the way it quick saves, but if you load the quicksave, save your game, go to the title, and load normally, itll work normal again.

Whenever I play the intro of the game and middle of the intro it crashes!!!!

I bought this app when it was working fine other than the audio issue. Barely got into before the game got an update. Now my 4th character is a toad I cant even access on the menu and the game crashes upon entering any battle. Utterly unplayable. I would love to play the game considering I PAID for it, but now its just wasting space on my phone. Please fix this. I preferred the audio bug to this, honestly... At least there was a simple swipe fix for that. If it were a free app Id understand the slow pace, but I paid good money for this.

I have loved these games for years and was excited to have a portable version to be able to take with me anywhere. Playing on an iPhone5c and there is absolutely no sound whatsoever. It wouldnt be so horrible if you could at least email the company or even if they had a technical support site. I also bought FFIII and am having the same issue. These were not .99 cent games. They were a little pricey but I figured it was worth it and they are unplayable. Please, please fix guys. Your reviews are incredible low, dont you care at all?

I read a lot of people are having issues with the game, but I havent had any bugs show up while playing on an iPad Air 2 since the last update. The sound works fine and there have been no crashes yet, Im halfway through the story. The only thing missing for me is iCloud support so I can save my progress if the app is deleted.

It wouldnt crash every auto-save. Seriously Square, every time a battle ends, it hangs and I have to close the app, restart the app, load the last quick-save and pray it doesnt hang after my next attempt at a battle. It also hangs on quick-saving at shops... For a company making so many mobile ports/new games, I would hope youd at least try to make sure they work properly... This game used to run just fine before the graphic/UI overhauls and your shoddy ports on Steam dont instill confidence either. You could probably reduce the amount of pirating of your games if you released working versions of the newer ones...Ill have to go track down the old GBA versions now I guess. P.S. I actually find the UI and graphic overhaul pretty cute and charming, the portraits during dialogue are also a nice touch. Just fix your games.
